Daphne Eleanor Iking (born 1979 in Sabah) is a Malaysian model, television personality and actress. She currently hosts The Breakfast Show on ntv7. Ever since Daphne has been working on television shows from the year 2001 to 2009, Daphne has appeared on TV for the Pond’s advertisement, a journalist for Ringgit Sense on TV3, Explorace, PNB World Investment Challenge TV3, Vector Challenge on 8TV, May/ Antabax Health & Beauty Capsules ads, Explorace Kids, a reporter for Majalah 3, made her acting début in KL Lights, co-hosted My Australian Adventure, a guest judge on What Women Want and now hosting The Breakfast Show on ntv7. here are some Daphne Iking interview with Voice reporter.

1. What is your background?
I am a mother of one. A TV anchor, journalist, producer, columnist, emcee and flirting with acting and DJing. I’m a sentimental equation of quirky ideas with conservative values. I’m romantic, I’m neurotic but I’m kind.

2. Who are your fans?
My parents (who are my biggest critics) and Isobel, my 19months daughter.

3. Who are your model influences?
TV Hosting -Asha Gill and Paula Malai Ali. They are beautiful, strong and fluent speakers with a mind of their own.

4. How would you describe your sense of style to people?
Quirky, laid back with a touch of sexiness; but all still comfortable.

5. What image do you think your television persona conveys to your audiences?
Bubbly, personable, forthright.

6. What kind of music do you listen to?
Depending on my mood, it ranges from jazzy funk to country music. I’ve recently gone back to evergreen songs. I’m old fashion!

7. If you could recommend one song, what would it be?
In the Ghetto- by Elvis Presley

8. If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?
A parang, writing materials and my all-in-one camping gear.

9. What are your upcoming future plans?
I’m going to explore the diversity of writing, music and retail.
